This site exists for the little guy — you don’t need me to tell you, it’s gotten BAD. I don’t care if you’re Democrat or Republican, a fan of Ronald Reagan and Reaganomics, Bill Clinton or Jimmy Carter, George Bush, or George W. Bush and whatever it is he did… or Barack Obama and whatever it is he’s doing… Let’s agree that this is the most unhealthy economy in a long, LONG time. Let’s stop blaming Congress, the North Koreans, Putin, Snowden… while the s*** storm flies overhead, let’s agree to keep moving forward, okay?
What can we do about it? PLENTY! Rising food prices, rising gas prices, frozen wages, layoffs, crashing banks and corporations — crashing COUNTRIES! 🙁 CEO’s with their hand out, and with their other hand grabbing their million dollar bonus for running their company into the ground — as if that was some kind of achievement! Health care that costs what a house payment used to, and guess what! It doesn’t cover anything anymore! And if you even have a house or roof over your head, then you’re LUCKY! Life as we know it has changed forever, and maybe that’s not such a bad thing. Greed kills.
I was feeling helpless, so I decided to fight back and become an expert on saving money. I didn’t want to be one of the people I had seen on the news, cutting back on their kid’s lunch so they could put gas in the car. I didn’t want to be the guy that could never even THINK about another vacation because he didn’t have the money. I wanted to be the dad my daughter was proud of — not ashamed and afraid of our future together. Homelessness was NOT an option. Besides, cardboard really is not my color — makes me look fat. Somebody suggested I go on welfare. Hey, even if I believed in taking welfare, I probably couldn’t count on it for very long
I founded this site. I researched. I tried stuff. I wrote about it. And I actually saved a lot of money. Now people come to me for advice on how they can save money, so I guess I’ve started some kind of movement. LOL I don’t know about that — I do hope the information here is helpful to you. Please send me your feedback. I’d love to hear how some of these money saving tips are helping you live your life – on a budget, comfortably.
